OUR COMMON MISSION IS:

To create an international network of entrepreneurs driven to solve the critical challenges of our time—from national security to natural disasters, from energy to the environment.

Solving these problems is our generational calling.

WE NOW FACE

CRITICAL CHALLENGES

These challenges have common elements:

  • Cut across Government, Private, and Nonprofit Sectors

  • Are constantly evolving

  • Need immediate, implementable solutions

No one is isolated from the effects of the challenges we face today. We all have a role in the mission-driven entrepreneurship movement.

WE ACCELERATE PROBLEM SOLVING BY

CONNECTING TWO KEY AUDIENCES

University Students

University students are unburdened from the way we have always done things. They have a long-term stake in solving the critical challenges we now face.

+

Government

Government problem sponsors who are close to the problem or have experienced the problem’s pain points and are motivated to implement solutions are crucial to building mission-driven entrepreneurship and innovation in government.

+

Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs bring innovative solutions to life. They work to succeed more than they fear failure.

Uniting university students and entrepreneurs with like-minded problem solvers in government and academia in order to solve critical challenges is mission-driven entrepreneurship.

OUR PROGRAMS

Hacking for National Security

Hacking for National Security™ is our flagship program in Australia. We deliver H4NS™ in partnership with Defence and participating universities under the D.Start Catalyst program.

The Common Mission Project is actively developing additional programs that follow the Hacking4Defense methodology. Currently we lead these programs in the US:

Local

Hacking for Local provides students the opportunity work with city governments, nonprofits, and other organizations to address critical community challenges.

Diplomacy

Hacking for Diplomacy challenges students to tackle current US foreign policy challenges that defy territorial boundaries and resist easy resolution.

Oceans

Hacking for Oceans applies the Common Mission Project’s methodologies to address the urgent problems facing our ocean environments around the world.
